Super Rods returned to Heartland raceway after a few years ‘lost in the wilderness’ on tracks further south.

Having heard a lot about this class but personally not seen in action before, I was surprised by the size of these beasts! Underneath the fiberglass shell is, to the layman observer, basically a wingless sprint car with heaps of grunt for the fat back tyres.

A big differentiator besides the looks, the class runs in a clock wise direction.
